Surrounded by rural farmland on one side and the lake on the other with stunning views of the Slieve Aughty Mountains Tully's Lough Derg Holiday Homes in Whitegate are in an ideal location. The cottages have three twin bedrooms, two being en-suite and a separate main bathroom. There is a spacious lounge with wood burning stove, large dining area within a fully fitted kitchen. Dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and electric kettle. All you need for a great self catering holiday beside lough Derg and a short drive from the pleasant village of Whitegate. The Half Barrel Pub offers great value food and excellent drink. Really friendly pub.

A short drive will take you to the village of Mountshannon. The amenities here include shops, pubs and restaurants.

There is a BOAT DOCK at the end of the garden and on-site angling advice is offered. Bait fridges and tackle storage is provided in a shed next to each of the cottages. and boats with motors are available.

A couple of good island spots only reachable by boat in a short trip but boat access only. Decent fishing platforms but chest waders recommended. Prebaiting with stewed wheat essential. Roach, quality hybrids and bream are your target species. Fish feed and release will build up your swim over 2 or 3 days and bring in bigger fish. Use a keepnet and they will move out. Wheat is a cheap volume particle feed. Plug your feeder only with a very dark groundbait. Baz Smith had some cracking hybrids in difficult weather conditions fishing 45 metres out into 13 feet of clear water. The feeder is the best method here.

Good pike venue again using the boats March to May and September to November. This is a huge lough waves can build fast in strong winds so do be aware of weather changes.
