Holland has been featured by Anglers World Holidays for over three decades. Easy access to fabulous fishing with overnight sailings from Hull to Rotterdam and day and night sailings from Harwich to the Hook of Holland.

Holland enjoys a European climate, colder winters and warmer summers and this ensures the rich waters are extremely well stocked; naturally. The canals, lakes and rivers are literally stuffed with coarse fish. Pole, waggler and feeder all catch well and when the float goes under or the tip goes round you never quite know what to expect, bream, roach, hybrid, ide, tench or carp! Holland offers what must be the easiest fishing around with good access to prolific swims. Closed season for predatory species (pike, perch, zander, ide) 1st April to 31st May.

Our trading policy for over four decades is to provide great holidays at amazing value prices. Our buying power ensures we can offer you an inclusive holiday invariably far cheaper than when you make your own arrangements.

South Holland - Brielle, Stellendam and Hellevoetsluis
Excellent coarse fishing for bream, roach, hybrids, ide and tench. Easy access to great fishing on canals and lakes. Carp are found in most waters too.
There are big waters like the Spui, a riverised canal and the Heringvleet a huge still water, literally stuffed with big bream shoals, in addition to roach, hybrids, ide, carp and freshwater mullet. Smaller but equally prolific waters like the Voorne and Bernice canals provide easier fishing. All waters are within easy reach of each other and our fishing centres are about 10 minutes’ drive from the port (Europort).

Specialised guided predator fishing can be arranged. Top local guide, Rob Kraaijeveld operates on the amazing Haringvliet with a well-equipped boat and he will put you onto some amazing predator fishing for big Pike and Perch, Asp, Zander and Ide.

A great location to fish April - October inclusive.

Central East Holland - Overijssel, Dalfsen and Harderwick
The Ijssel is a big powerful river, a bit daunting, but you fish the margins for prolific bags of big bream plus hybrids, roach and ide. It's a feeder or pole water and is one of the few waters with barbel. Do not be put off by the size and pace; fish just off the main pace in the margins and pack plenty of feed into your swim to attract the vast shoals of coarse fish.

The Vechte is a gentler river that has excellent coarse fish. Waggler, pole, stick and feeder all produce, depending on flow factors. The Vechte like any river needs flow. There are lots of backwaters and still waters to fish in this scenic area.

Harderwjik has canals both large and small plus a wide choice of still waters. Excellent fishing away from the crowds for all coarse species and situated only about 90 minutes from the ports.

Waters in this area like most of Holland tend to have some colour. Fish will feed close in and ground bait laced with plenty of particle works well. Pre-bait lakes and canals. Feed lots and often in the warmer months on the rivers. Stewed wheat is an important and cheap bulk particle. Chopped worm is a must for bream.

North West Holland - Noord-Scharwoude and Langedijk
Located just above Amsterdam and a short drive from your ferry port of arrival you will find large and small canals and some cracking still waters. A rich, connected water system that has excellent bream, roach, hybrids, tench and carp. Easy access and waters that suit a variety of methods - pole, feeder and waggler. Noord-Scharwoude offers well stocked waters with quality fishing in scenic surroundings.

Access is good, swims are comfortable, scenery's pleasant. On the whole it is a great pleasure fishing location with good variety of species. Bream, hybrids, roach, rudd, tench and carp are common throughout these waters.

David Watts from Boland Groundbaits recently returned from a visit to Holland, where he stayed in the accommodation at De Groot Vliet and says:

"There is a very good tackle shop in Weverershoof, only 2km from the accommodation, it is very well stocked and sells fresh baits (maggots, casters worms etc.) and also frozen dead baits for pike fishing. The guys in the shop will give you a local map and point you in the right direction of where to fish etc.

The accommodation was 1st class, with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. There's a nice area to sit outside, television if required and parking. On site at the back of the chalets is a vast lake that I fished, after pre-baiting and caught well, it is easily accessible and I fished from the platforms. I also fished a canal, about 1km from the digs and I parked behind my peg and had 136lb of fish that day in about 6hrs fishing.

There are a number of restaurants in the town and a hotel about 500 metres from the digs that serves food every night. There is also a cafe on site selling food and coffee. Overall my impression of the area was very good for people wanting a nice quite break with plenty of very good, easily accessible fishing locations. There is also a Carp lake on site, but I never got to fish it, but witnessed other anglers catching Double Figure Carp!"

Passports:
Ensure your passport is valid for your trip. For travel to Holland your passport must have a date of issue less than 10 years before the date you arrive and have an expiry date at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave.
Passports issued after 1 October 2018 are now valid for only 10 years, but for passports issued before 1 October 2018, extra months may have been added if you renewed a passport early. Some countries, particularly in the EU, do not recognise these extra months. You should assume that your passport validity is 10 years from the date of issue.

Holiday Insurance:
We strongly advise that you take out adequate comprehensive holiday insurance to cover you for the duration of your trip as soon as you book your holiday.

Check the following Government website for rules for travelling to Holland:

Driving in the EU:
You need to take your Great Britain or Northern Ireland driving licence with you to drive abroad. You also need to take your logbook (V5C) and your insurance certificate. If you are taking a vehicle abroad that you have hired or leased in the UK, you will need a VE103 certificate.
You might need an international driving permit (IDP) to drive in some countries. Check online or alternatively contact your own insurance company. You are able to buy IDPs over the counter at the Post Office.
https://www.gov.uk/driving-abroad/international-driving-permit

Make sure you follow overseas driving rules, including local speed limits and drink driving laws. You may be breaking the law and get a fine if you do not. Depending on the country you are visiting, you may need:
• extra equipment - for example, you need a reflective jacket and a warning triangle in many countries
• emission stickers (permits) in some European cities - you may need to buy these weeks before you go abroad
• headlight converter stickers
• UK sticker. From 28 September 2021, you need a UK sticker instead of a GB sticker.

Check out rules for driving in the EU on

Please note some properties require an additional cancellation deposit payable at the time of booking. This amount will be deducted from your balance payment.
