Grange Lodge, Strokestown

Four-bedroom luxury cottage adjacent to Grange Lake, which holds good stocks of pike, bream, rudd and hybrids.

Grange Lodge is a modern stone-fronted luxury cottage, located 5 miles from Strokestown. Tastefully furnished throughout the cottage has four bedrooms (3 doubles and 1 twin room). All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with either electric or power shower. Two of the double bedrooms also have satellite televisions. The sitting room has an open fire, leather sofa suite and satellite television.

The property has a kitchen with all modern appliances including, dual oven, gas hob, microwave oven, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, spacious fridge-freezer and dishwasher. There is also a utility room with washing machine and additional utensils such as hair dryer, iron, ironing board, hoover and clotheshorse.

Wi-Fi is also available. Heating is by oil-fired central heating, which is regulated on a timer system. Rubbish is separated for recycling in separate outside bins. Oil and electricity is metered and customers pay the current rates for electricity, which is communicated at time of arrival.

Three 19ft Burke Angler Fancy fishing boats with 8hp outboard engine are available to rent, if required. These are harboured on a private jetty and there is a dedicated jetty shed right beside the boats, where all angling gear can be stored for the duration of the holiday. The shed is locked and has electricity and a fridge for bait storage. In addition, there is a BBQ facility and outdoor seating available for your personal use at the jetty.

Strokestown is a popular angling centre for coarse and pike fishing with 65 lakes within a 7-mile radius. Many of these lakes have very good access and facilities, which includes fishing stands, access roads and car parks.
