Bonefish are caught year-round. Permit fishing is better in Winter/Spring/Summer. Tarpon is somewhat migratory with the better fishing being from April to August. The prime months for a Grand Slam (all 3 species in one day) are June, July and August. Snook can be caught year-round in the quieter backwater and mangrove channels.
Top accommodation includes Alan’s Paradise and Azure Del Mar.
Canada
British Columbia has stunning scenery and excellent Sturgeon fishing on the Fraser River. The Fraser River is also renowned for its salmon fishing, including Chinook (King), Coho (Silver), Sockeye, Pink, and Chum salmon. Salmon runs typically occur during specific seasons. The Fraser River and its tributaries are also home to various trout species, including rainbow trout. Trout fishing can be good throughout the year, but spring and autumn are often considered prime times.
