Consisting of three islands just 480 miles south of Miami, Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman remain our little pieces of paradise. Blessed with sun-kissed beaches and waters teeming with gold flecked fish, the Cayman Islands offers some of the best fishing, diving and snorkelling in the world.
On an Anglers World itinerary we always suggest a stopover on Grand Cayman before taking a connecting flight to Little Cayman. Grand Cayman offers stunning beaches, fine hotels and restaurants, must see sights like the Botanical Gardens including the breeding sanctuary for the Blue Iguana.
Little Cayman is a "Robinson Crusoe" paradise. 10 miles long, 1 mile wide, stunning beaches, palm trees, lagoons of sand and turtle grass.. home to a variety of jacks, snappers, bonefish, permit and tarpon. The perfect place to fly fish, chill out, relax and enjoy a great climate.
Seasons
November - April inclusive generally warm to hot and dry, very few if any mosquitoes. Fishing is good for bonefish, tarpon and a variety of jacks.
May and June - Weather hotter, sea temperature warmer, same species and in addition permit. After occasional heavy showers it's wise to use an insect repellent early mornings and evenings.
PASSPORTS
Ensure your passport is valid for your trip. Most destinations insist that your passport must have an expiry date at least 6 months after your return flight. It is important that you check both your issue date and expiry date on your passport. If you have renewed your passport early in the past, the passport office could have added these extra months to your expiry date. Some countries, particularly in the EU, do not recognise these extra months. You should assume that your passport validity is 10 years from the date of issue.
