Cuba boasts an idyllic climate from November to June and some of the finest saltwater fly fishing that is still under developed. Excellent guides can be found particularly in the area we explored – Cayo Coco. Clients must take all their own tackle from rods/reels to tippets and flies.
Charter flights serve the resort of Cayo Coco. Take schedule flights direct to Havana due to the more frequent service. Combine your trip with some time spent in Havana, a capital city well worth including in your itinerary. Havana exudes time-worn charm and character, from the crumbling Art Deco and Spanish colonial architecture of its skyline to the lively culture, cafes and dance halls found in its streets. There are many excellent hotels, vibrant bars and restaurants. The old city is great to explore with amazing architecture and a unique atmosphere. Nightlife is a strong feature of Havana and there are some excellent shows to experience (pre-booking essential). The Museum of the Revolution, a tribute to Fidel Castro, Che Guevara’s and the Cuban peoples struggle to create a fairer environment is well worth visiting. Like the island itself, Havana is still undergoing a gradual improvement in its infrastructure and tourism is a valuable and emerging asset.
Cuba is an island rich in culture and history where you feel safe and welcome.
