Lauklines is a year round family owned and managed resort and offers a very high standard of accommodation in the natural and stunningly beautiful arctic countryside. All cabins are 100 m² over two floors and are built using “cog and notched” timber, insulated and clad in traditional style. All have electric heating and are cosy and comfortable even on the coldest winter days.
There are two types of cabin - standard and premium. All cabins have a fully equipped kitchen, which contains a microwave oven, stove/oven, dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker and kettle. Salt/pepper, kitchen roll, coffee filters, dishwasher tablets, dish soap, tea towels, cleaning cloths, toilet paper, soap and towels are also provided. Freezer facilities are available in the common area. Downstairs there is a living/dining room with television and a bedroom with medium bed plus a bathroom with shower. Upstairs there are two large bedrooms (three beds and two beds) and bathroom with shower. By the entrance to the cabins, there is a storage and drying room.
The premium cabins, renovated in 2022/2023 also have AC and electric floor heating at ground floor.
All cabins are allergy-friendly so pets and smoking are not permitted. Free Wi-Fi is available and cleaning on departure is included.
On site there is a sauna, function room and tackle shop. The chalets are let on a daily basis and as it is a private taxi transfer (pre-booked and prepaid) guests can arrive/depart any day for any duration. By far the most popular is a 7 night/6 days fishing stay.
The reception offers a wide range of fishing equipment and accessories for sale or rental.
Please note From January 2023 Lauklines will stop using self-drive boats and will use skippered charter boats for private tours in cooperation with Explore the Arctic. The charter boats will vary from 23-35 feet, so there will be something suitable for all groups. Explore the Arctic will have guides/skippers with boats available according to your preferred wishes.
This is a serious sea fishing location with high standards of accommodation and top fishing advice. With such a wealth of additional activities, it is the ideal centre for non-anglers too.
Lauklines is located 35km from Tromso City and 30km from the airport. Transfers via taxi can be arranged and need to be booked in advance. Summer activities include hiking, walking, sea kayaks, touring and cycling. Winter activities are snowshoe walking, husky dog sledding, Northern Lights and whale watching.
