A large harbour is the focal point of this small fishing village with scenic mountains providing a magnificent backdrop.

The sheltered fjord offers top class fishing from April to late September. It has a central deep channel with lots of shallower features and fish holding areas. The open sea is close by, again with lots of features.

The emphasis here is on big cod, big coalfish, redfish, haddock and some very large halibut. Many halibut are often hooked but few are landed as the average size is 100kg plus! Fishing is prolific and sizes are high in all species.
