Dungarvan and Dunmore East are excellent angling centres with an array of angler friendly accommodation and well-stocked tackle shops. Charter boats offer fishing for shark, cod, pollock, haddock, coalfish and ling. This part of the Irish Coast has a large number of wrecks and wreck fishing is offered by a number of charter boats.

Small boat fishing in Dungarvan Harbour and Bay can be very productive with the main species being bass, flounder, plaice, ray and dogfish.

Blue Shark Fishing can also be very productive off Dungarvan and bass fishing has proven quite popular and productive in the Dungarvan Bay Area in recent years.
