Sørøya boasts a rich marine ecosystem, the most noticeable in its waters being the renowned Atlantic cod, making for an angler’s dream. We will be targeting Halibut, Cod, Wolffish, Coalfish, Haddock and Plaice.
It is simply where you can catch the biggest cod in the world.
Sørøya currently holds the record for the world’s biggest cod at 103lb 10oz, so if you cast your lines into the island’s icy waters, you too may get a record-breaking catch.
