Camp Steinfjord is located on the beautiful island of Senja. Newly refurbished in 2017 the camp offers comfortable accommodation, premium boats, a seaside restaurant with great food and all the facilities needed for the perfect deep sea fishing experience in Norway.

Accommodation includes seven rooms, a four-bedroom apartment and a villa that sleeps up to eight people.

The rooms are located on the second floor of the main building and have two bunk beds and a sofa that can be converted into an extra bed. Each room is equipped with soundproof doors to the corridor, blackout curtains and fridge for private food. Guests staying in the rooms share two toilets with showers in the corridor.

The rooms all share a kitchen, which has three separate cooking areas with stove, oven and sink. The kitchen is also equipped with a fridge, microwave oven and a coffee percolator (filtered).

The four-bedroom apartment has its own exterior entrance next to the main entrance of the camp. Facilities include a toilet with shower, two bunk beds and a sofa that can be converted into an extra bed. This makes it ideal for the small family or a group of 4-5 persons. The apartment also has a fridge with a small freezer compartment, microwave oven and small kitchen area with two boiling plates.

The picturesque duplex villa is the perfect choice for the smaller party that seeks a little more privacy. It has four bedrooms with eight beds. Two toilets, one on each floor; the one on the bottom floor is equipped with a shower. On the second floor is the kitchen and living room area, a bedroom and the terrace.

The main changeover day is Sunday to Sunday, but other days can be arranged.

Camp Steinfjord is located two hours by road from Tromso or 90 minutes from Barufoss Airports. 

On site, there is a restaurant with stunning views over Steinfjorden, which serves light foods in the day and dinners in the evenings which need to be pre-booked. The camp also has a fileting room with individual workbenches and freezers for each room. There is a loading crane by the dock that can be used to unload and weigh your catch.

Originally, the location of an old fishing factory the area has fantastic fishing waters. Within a 15-minute drive by boat, you will reach these waters with a chance to catch record-breaking halibut and cod all year round. Excellent early season March/April fishing for the big Atlantic Skrei cod. Wolf fish in early summer along with coastal cod and occasional halibut. Cod, coalfish and bigger halibut are plentiful right through into mid-October with July/August/September being prime time. Excellent fishing advice on site.

Boats are Kvaerno 615 with 75hp Evinrude engines and are suitable for four anglers. They are equipped with Lowrance Hook 7 fishfinder and chartplotter combo. There is also a VHF radio for each boat.

Breath-taking scenery, fascinating wildlife, majestic nature and an abundance of activities to do all year round. In short, Senja has something for everyone.
