Rodrigues Island is a small volcanic island located in the Indian Ocean, east of the island of Mauritius. It offers a unique blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and a tranquil atmosphere, making it an appealing destination for those seeking a more laid-back and less crowded experience compared to its larger neighbours.
The waters around Rodrigues are known for their diverse marine life, and fishing enthusiasts can find a variety of fish species. Common catches include Dogtooth Tuna, Yellow Fin Tuna, GT’s, Marlin, Wahoo, Grouper and Coral Trout.
Rodrigues offers excellent opportunities for deep-sea fishing. The deeper waters surrounding the island are known for big game fishing, attracting enthusiasts seeking to catch larger species like marlin and tuna.
