Riumar lies in the subtropical Costa Dorada, approximately 180km south of Barcelona and only 80 kms from Reus Airport, on the very tip of the Ebro Delta National Nature Park, where the Ebro flows into the Mediterranean. It is a paradise for fishermen, beach lovers, nature lovers and people just looking for a quiet location. It has a Blue Flag beach and there are several restaurants offering a wide range of cuisine. Friendly resort with everything you need. Excellent value restaurant/bars. Ideal for serious anglers and partners/families too.
The River Ebro offers phenomenal fishing. Plenty of food and excellent living conditions have ensured that there are large numbers of big catfish. You can also fish for Zander and Barbel.
Sea fishing in the Mediterranean is exceptional for Bluefin Tuna using baits, spinning and trolling with the best time of year being mid-March to beginning of June and mid-July to mid-November. Bluefish are caught year round and Little Tunnys up to 18 kilos can be caught mid April to late October. A Mediterranean variant of the common mackerel also provides top sport from mid-April to mid-November. You will also find Sea Bass from mid-April to mid-October and Mahi Mahi (Dorado) from mid-August to mid-November.

2019 Fishing Report
2019 was a record year for bluefin tuna. Both in quantity and size. April and May were good months as always for spin fishing for bluefin and little tunny. The biggest tuna on spinning gear was for Jan with a fish of 80 kilos of weight (175lb).
Late July had big feeding frenzies of bluefin with an average of approximately 110lb each. Even more interesting was the presence of loads of bigger tunas from early July that don´t surface but found our chum almost every day. We were averaging four fish a day and more. We have never caught so many 200lb+ tunas as this year. Several fish almost reaching for the 400lb mark.
Late August things even got better! The last Sunday of August produced a monster possibly approaching 900lbs. With a careful release we guessed the weight. A week later, we had a fish that was even bigger possibly our first Grander! We caught plenty of tuna right into early November this year, tons of bluefin, little tunny and bonito´s hunting for small baitfish.
Of course, we did other fishing as well. 2019 was good for bluefish. Especially early June. Trolling in the estuary it was impossible to put out 3 rods or more. The bluefish was very greedy. Leerfish were present in good quantities as well although they are very clever and masters in plundering our baitfish.
We´re already looking forward to 2020. It should be action packed.
