Description
Torsvag is perfectly located on the “outer islands” close to the best fishing. You can fish open water marks or the inside channels which offer good shelter. This well managed sea fishing base has a large natural harbour and is just over 2 hours’ drive and short ferry from Tromso Airport. Flexible arrival dates for 7 and 14-night durations but avoid Saturday/Sundays as ferry schedule is very limited.
Transfers are included and meet most arriving and departing flights. Main camp has a large fish filleting room. Take your own freezer bags. You can purchase polystyrene freezer boxes for about £14. Be aware of current Government fish limits for exporting from Norway.
Small grocery store offering free pickup and delivery is about 10 minutes’ drive from the accommodations. Use of shared vehicles available for a nominal cost of diesel some accommodations have own car included. Fishing advice and water charts provided in resort. All boats have a chart plotter echo sounder. Bjorn the owner will readily supply good advice on best fishing areas.

Boats:
Self-drive boats (diesel Arvors) allow almost limitless fishing over a huge choice of marks and features. Torsvag is open from late March to mid-October. From late May into early August the sun never sinks below the horizon. 24 hours of daylight. Life jackets provided. Boat diesel is not included.
Note: Each boat must be operated by a person with boat operational experience. Boat operators born after 1/1/1980 will be required to produce an ICC international certificate of competence valid in Norway.
Big cod, coalfish and halibut are most common and the shallower depths of 15 to 80 metres offer rich feeding grounds for prolific fish stocks. Halibut are currently a protected species and here they are caught in large numbers with some specimens up to 2 metres in length. 20lb to 40lb plus cod are caught each summer in numbers.

All located close to the harbour. Linen and towels are provided. Wi-Fi is available on site.

Brygga, 4 bedrooms upper floor of house with 1 x 28ft Arvor (300hp).
Across the natural harbour from the apartments with private pier and stunning harbour views.

Torsvag House, large 5-bedroom house with 2 x 23ft Arvors.
Beautiful fjord views, 9 beds, bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, plus a second toilet. Kitchen has a cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher. Utility room with washing machine and dryer. Use of a car included.
Buroysund House at Buroy Sund, with 2 x 21ft Arvors.
4 bedrooms each with a single and bunk bed. Ideal for 4 anglers.
