Experience thrilling sport in the sunshine with world-class saltwater fishing in the Florida Keys. Each week, Dave Plummer hosts just two anglers, ensuring a personal and relaxed experience aboard his fully equipped boat.

Depending on the season, you’ll have the chance to target an impressive variety of species, including sailfish, swordfish, blue marlin, tuna, dorado, and amberjack, all found in the reefs, banks, and deep blue waters of the Gulf Stream. The region is also renowned for its exceptional shark fishing, with species such as lemon, nurse, blacktip, bull, tiger, and hammerhead sharks all possible catches.

Flexible and comfortable fishing accommodation

Your stay is based near Islamorada in a spacious two-bedroom house, with accommodation running Saturday to Saturday. The package includes five full days of fishing, each split into two four-hour sessions, with the option of a rest day or an additional fishing day if desired.

The trip includes:

  • Private taxi transfers from Miami International Airport
  • Seven nights’ self-catering accommodation
  • Five days of guided fishing (two 4-hour sessions per day)
  • All tackle and bait provided

What you can expect to catch on a fishing holiday in Florida

Bonefish

One of the most sought-after flats species, famous for their speed and sharp eyesight. Hooking a bonefish often results in blistering runs across the flats, earning them the nickname “the grey ghost.”

Snook

Powerful inshore predators commonly found around mangroves, river mouths and coastal lagoons. They are aggressive feeders that strike both flies and lures and are known for hard fights and explosive surface takes.

Tarpon

These large, silver fish are famous for their size, strength and incredible aerial leaps once hooked. They can grow to well over 100lb and provide an unforgettable challenge for fly and lure anglers alike.

Permit

Widely considered one of the most challenging flats fish to catch, they are extremely wary and require precise presentations. Once hooked permit are powerful fighters, making them a prized catch for experienced anglers.

Jack Crevalle

Aggressive, hard-fighting predators often found hunting in packs along the coast and around reefs. They are renowned for their sheer power and stamina, frequently making long, stubborn runs that test both tackle and angler.

Redfish

One of the most sought-after inshore species, prized for their power, resilience, and accessibility. They fight hard for their size, with strong initial runs and stubborn resistance, offering exciting sport on balanced tackle.
