Alaska Fishing Holidays

The Last Great Frontier – a destination renowned for its vast landscapes, pristine rivers, and some of the finest fly fishing anywhere in the world.

Discover world-class fishing holidays in Alaska

Anglers travel here to pursue powerful Pacific salmon in spectacular wilderness. Our programmes offer opportunities to target several iconic species, including Coho, Pink and Chum salmon, along with hard-fighting Dolly Varden, vibrant Rainbow Trout and, in some locations, the legendary Steelhead.
One of the highlights of the season is the exciting Coho salmon run, which typically takes place from mid-August through late September and provides some of the year’s most thrilling fly fishing.

Wildlife encounters are also a memorable part of every trip. Guests often see bald eagles, deer and other native species, while the true highlight for many is spotting the magnificent coastal brown bear in its natural habitat. These enormous bears—among the largest in the world—are a remarkable sight, and in certain areas they have become accustomed to human presence, allowing for safe and memorable viewing opportunities that few places on Earth can offer.

Located in some of Alaska’s most breathtaking regions, including Lake Clark National Park and Kodiak Island all trips are accessed via Anchorage, with private light aircraft transfers included to reach these remote wilderness destinations. Inclusive tailor-made angling holidays

Because of the remote nature of these locations, we recommend a 6- or 7-night stay at the lodge or camp, with an overnight stay in Anchorage at both the beginning and end of your journey. Trips to Kodiak Island require an additional night before and after the camp stay due to flight logistics.

Before fishing, guests will need to obtain an Alaska State fishing licence. Licences can be purchased easily online in advance, or locally at tackle shops in Anchorage or in Kodiak.

Whether you are drawn by the legendary fishing, the incredible wildlife, or the sheer scale and beauty of Alaska’s wilderness, this is truly an adventure into the last great frontier.
