Paradise Fishing Lodge is located just 90 minutes by road south of David, Chiriqui. It is perfectly situated in the Gulf of Chiriqui on Panama’s Western Pacific Coast. This ideal location is the perfect launching spot for offshore fishing trips to the famous Hannibal Bank, Montuosa Island, and more. The Gulf of Chiriqui also offers some of the best inshore fishing in the world.
The lodge provides high standards of comfort and excellent cuisine. It is the perfect retreat for both the serious sport angler and partners alike. Beautiful landscaped grounds rich in birdlife. Great photo opportunities. Non anglers would benefit from car rental as this location is quite remote.
There are nine spacious cabins equipped with full air conditioning, smart TV, ceiling fans, comfortable beds with mattress toppers, a private bathroom with a hot water shower, dedicated fibre optics providing high-speed internet, and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
There is also a pool, which comes complete with waterfall and a swim up bar.
Begin your day with a choice of coffee, tea or juice, complemented by a made-to-order eggs breakfast. Fishing boats are equipped with snacks, fully stocked coolers containing water, soda and beer, along with a packed lunch tailored to your preferences. Following a rewarding day on the water, return to the lodge and unwind with ice-cold beer or a refreshing cocktail at the bar. Cap off your day with a four course dinner served family style.
Paradise Lodge offers inshore and offshore sport to suit all and operates the latest fully equipped boats with top tackle. They employ some of the best and most experienced professional captains around who have generations of local fishing experience.
The Contenders are the boats that have made Paradise Fishing Lodge one of the best fishing lodges in Panama since the early 2000s. Fast, agile and reliable, they are the ideal boats to get you to the fishing grounds quickly and comfortably. All are outfitted with outriggers for anglers who want to set a spread and troll for trophy billfish. All the Contenders come with 4 tuna tubes and live wells, so fishing with live bait is never an issue.
Alternatively, the 31′ Bertram is an ideal boat for those looking for a little more comfort, as it features shaded seating in the cockpit and an air-conditioned salon, a dinette and bathroom.
Boats are equipped with all the modern electronics that you need to put you on fish.
We enjoyed great big fish action on a variety of methods including surface popping, casting sub surface lures, fishing baits, trolling and a little salt water fly fishing. Species includes: rooster fish, cubera snapper, various members of the trevally and jack family, mahi mahi, yellowfin tuna, sailfish, marlin to name but a few. Lots of big fish action for sure.
