Bungalowpark Herkingen has self-catering bungalows sleeping 4 to 6 people. Individually owned and decorated to the owner’s taste, the chalets have an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area, two or three bedrooms with a double bed or two single beds. Bed linen is included. Most bungalows have a garden with garden furniture and reserved parking for one car.
Bungalow 10B.
A semi-detached bungalow with an open kitchen with a dining area and a spacious living room. The kitchen has a small oven. There are three bedrooms, two on the ground floor and one bedroom upstairs with two beds in each room. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and a toilet.
Bungalow 1B.
A semi-detached bungalow for up to four persons. The bungalow has an open kitchen and a spacious living room with dining area. The kitchen has a small oven. There are two bedrooms, one downstairs (double bed) and one upstairs (with two single beds). The bathroom has a bath and there is a separate toilet.
Bungalow 6A.
A semi-detached, completely renovated bungalow, which is suitable for a maximum of four people. The house, equipped with shutters, has a living room with dining area and open kitchen. The kitchen includes an oven, microwave and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms each with two single beds. The bathroom has a bath/shower combination and toilet. Free Wi-Fi.
Bungalow 7A.
This semi-detached bungalow is suitable for a maximum of six persons. It has a living room with dining area and open plan kitchen, equipped with a microwave. It has three bedrooms, two of which are on the ground floor. Two bedrooms have two single beds and the third has a bunk bed. The bathroom is equipped with shower and toilet. Free Wi-Fi.
There is a bar and restaurant on site with a large outdoor terrace and two bowling alleys. The park also has a heated swimming pool with separate children's pool and free sun loungers (open from May 15th to September 15th). The reception is open during the mornings Monday to Saturday and is closed on Sunday. Bungalows are rented from Friday to Friday and during the high season check-in is 3pm to 5pm and departure is before 10am. It may be possible to check in earlier if your bungalow is ready when you arrive.
Other facilities include a trampoline, football pitch, a boules court, table tennis table and the tennis court, which can be used for a small fee. There is a launderette on site.
The park is located within a short drive of excellent canal and lake fishing and the quiet village is a 10-minute walk away. The village has a supermarket, bakery and bicycle rental company. A restaurant serving excellent food is located at the nearby harbour, with a beautiful view over the Grevelingenmeer. A friendly pub and pizzeria is also located in the village.
In Middelharnis, about 10km from the park, there is a shopping centre and various activities such as fairs take place in the summer. Bungalowpark Herkingen is also the ideal base for visiting cities such as Rotterdam, Antwerp and the Delta Works.
Fishing around South Holland - Brielle, Stellendam and Hellevoetsluis
Enjoy outstanding coarse fishing opportunities for bream, roach, hybrids, ide, and tench, with easy access to excellent fishing spots across canals and lakes. Carp are abundant in most waters as well. The region boasts expansive waters such as the Spui—a canalized river—and the Haringvliet, a vast still water teeming with large shoals of bream, along with roach, hybrids, ide, carp, and freshwater mullet. For those seeking a more relaxed experience, the smaller yet highly productive Voorne and Bernisse canals offer easier fishing.
Conveniently, all these waters are located within close proximity to one another, with our fishing centres just a 10-minute drive from the port. For anglers interested in predator fishing, expert guided trips can be arranged. Renowned local guide, Rob Kraaijeveld, operates on the incredible Haringvliet, offering fully equipped boat trips to target impressive predator species such as pike, perch, asp, zander, and ide.
This destination is ideal for fishing between April and October.
